Coigach Coastal Rowing Regatta details!

This is how close it can get, fighting to the finish!  ‘Coigach Lass’ v ‘Ulla’ last summer.

Racing Schedule -  Coigach Coastal Rowing Regatta Sat 21st May

Coxes/captains/safety meeting 9.15 sharp -  Rower’s tent.

Three safety boats and Umpire’s boat in attendance, also Coastguard and First Responder presence.

Races subject to timing changes to suit wind and weather, safety considerations, etc.

LONG DISTANCE RACES 4,000m or less towards Tanera and back

10 am  MEN OPEN            

11am   WOMEN OPEN    

12 am  MIXED OPEN  

These long distance races will be around 4k… may well be shorter depending weather, wind direction etc. It’s a lovely row toward the island and back in relatively sheltered water.

LUNCH 1pm – 2pm Free buffet for competitors in rowers’ tent where there will be changing area/ personal kit storing area. All day food etc in main Marquee.

SPRINTS from 2pm   Approx 800 metres or less,  no turn.

Trophy and medals Presentation,  Community Hall 7 pm – ish.

Food and Bar there too, open from 6pm !- minibus transport to Hall available from Badentarbat, campsite and other billets. Music with ‘The Wayward Sons’ Free!

All weather dependent of course – we do have a plan B race area if wind direction not suitable for Badentarbat Bay! But we know the sun is gonna shine for us!
